question of partition methods

Hey everyone

basically, i m doing a partition of a grid like the pic shows. The size of the black units are fixed but the positions are flexible which is the only parameter. I want to automatically orientate these units in to the rectangular and get different partitions.

But I dont get any idea about that, could anyone help?

I will be appreciate if u can upload some definitions about that.

If I understand correctly, you can to try with Packrat addon. Also, GENERATION plugin has a component for that, Nesting, if I remember well.

I tried those two add-on already but its not that perfect, i think i should explain more clearly. What i mean is the shape, the size and the position of those black units are fixed and the rest of the space in the rectangular is for those random white units, the question is how to do the random stuff perfectly fit the rest spaces.
