Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello all,

A question :

We want to automate the following :

Taking some meshes [that are layered accordingly] as an input:

- we want to take a section through at an arbitraty height, have the resulting section curves layered [according to the mesh they are from], the curves closed if they are not already, then hatched with a solid fill [same colour as layer], AND THEN a top view taken and a bitmap saved to a file [a bouding box used or something to zoom into a detail section]

To give some context, we will be using the bitmap for some building physics analysis. Instead of having to draw the detail from scratch we are really looking to be able to create it straight from a 3d model [probs fbx or ifc mesh from revit or microstation etc etc].

Rhinoscript  vb  c# or just grasshopper, any recommendations are welcomed.

The image attached is something that would used as our bitmap input.

Many thanks for any comments!

Kind Regards.
