algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Dear Community,

once again, I need a little bit of help.

I´m at a university projekt where I createt triangulated surfaces in Rhino and programmed with GH the structure. (see pics)

So as you can see, I offseted the original surfaces and triangulated them. Afterwards I connected the points to make pyramids. The importance was, that the high of the Pyramids were the normals of the triangulated surface (the one i constructed first), because the Pyramids should met at the highest point.

Now i have to variate the high off the pyramids, but i don´t find a good solution. I found a example (see pic) where you could change the radius of circles by setting points in rhino, but it didn´t work on my geometry. The pyramids chrashed all over my screen.

I hope you can tell me a direction, because I´m trying and searching now for days, and i couldn´t solve my Problems :(

thx a lot !!

Hello here is a solution without your script, too complex. Try to simplify things when you have a question. I hope I understood well, you have triangle mesh and you want pyramid instead of triangle. A plugin can surely do that, but here a solution. Just plug your mesh at mesh explode component. I add a simple attractor for the height of the pyramid. But you can refine that quite easily. What is the relation between height of pyramid and position of the center ?

Hello Laurent,

thx for your help !

Its right that i construct pyramids out of the mesh, but i already skriptet that. The high of the pyramids has to be  the center point or normal of the offseted surface because both pyramids has to met at the highest piont. They have to be connected.

It took me ours to get this skript work, but finally i got it.

the only thing is, that the attractor point should change the highs of the pyramids a little bit more than it does jet, but i think here i just have to keep trying ;)
