project lines on surface

hi,

I am trying to project a flat line, onto a lofted surface.

It works fine for the most part but some curves do not get projected on the upper part of the surface (see screenshot), so there is a missing segment of the curve...

the surface is a single surface and again, pretty simple

I also tried to extrude the flat lines and then do a brep / brep intersection but that missed even more segments

any ideas? or suggestions of how to do it in a different way?

ok - just solved the problem, but still don't understand it :

if I rebuild the line to be projected with more controll points (even though it does not need it), say 10 instead of 2 it seams to work fine ....

Hi peter,

it might well be a bug in the intersector, can you post (or send) me the files I need to replicate this? If it's a lot of data please use the McNeel FTP system.
