You're supposed to double-click RHI files, not drag them into Rhino. However, there's a bug in a recent Rhino5 release that stops RHI files from being run correctly. It seems that going into the Windows Control Panel and "repairing" the Rhino5 installation fixes this.

Alternatively you can change which application opens the RHI file from Windows Explorer. The application you're looking for is rhiexec.exe in the Rhino install folder.

This has not worked for me David.  I have tried repairing Rhino 4, Rhino 5 (both 32 and 64), as well as uninstalling grasshopper to start fresh. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hello All,

I, too, am having the same problems installing the latest GH into Rhino 5. I've tried reinstalling Rhino, and opening the RHI file using the rhiexec.exe engine, to no avail. I uninstalled GH, as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm using a MacBookPro, with bootcamp and Windows 7.

I had a problem when I updated rhino 5 64 bit but did not update rhino 5 32 bit.  Mary Fugier helped me solve this.

I have a computer with the same problem. Alredy tried to repair the rhino installations, and use the rhiexec.exe... (All of them).

The info is: windows7 64 ultimate, last version of rhino sr9 and gh 0.9.76
