Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I'm trying to do a Solid Difference between two Breps, one is a closed extruded surface and the another is a group of closed extruded hexagons, but when I try to do the solid difference between them, to have hexagonal perforations along the surface, I can't.

The result is the extruded surface with the hexagonal perforations inside it but its closed.

I'd tried by flattening my hexagons but the result is only one closed hexagon.

Also I tried by doing it in Rhino with Boolean Difference and Split but the results are the same.

Hope you can help me with the problem guys!

Thanks!

HI Hugo,

If I understand your goal you can simply use "surface split" with your surface and your hexagons...no boolean needed I think.
See the picture

Thank you Gste! but I cant do it in my definition, please look:

I think Im doing the same as you posted,

Could you share me the file to check the correction??

Greetings Gstei!

Thank you for your assistance Gstei but now i could do it by flattening the scaled geometry and doing a surface split with it,

Thank You!
