algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Jeff,
This will run a bit faster than the booleans, so here's another option to get you going ...
Keep in mind that in order to use the Planar Surface component to punch holes in a surface, like Rhino does when you select inscribed and closed curves, you need to be sure that all curves are on the same branch in your data structure (in this case, place bounding curves and inscribed closed curves in a parameter, and flatten before sending off to the Planar Surface component).
good luck.

Hello Jeff,Nick and everybody,
I am working on a similar project and I was wondering if you could help me.
My intention is to create two different kind of panels :
A. panels with the same hole radius
B. panels with various hole radius
In both I am facing the same problem :
In order to get the center points for my circles/holes I divide the surface in segments.
Although, the entire surface is divided and I get points all along the surface,
From this selection I need to exclude the points of the perimeter of the surface and allow a gap of 2 cm before divide the entire surface.
I assume, that I need to insert a subsurface in my definition which will be scaled down from the principle surface and divide this surface in segments.
I am new to GH and dont know how to do that.
I would be gratefull if you could give me some advice.
I am attaching a screenshot of my GH definition and a sketch of what I am trying to achieve.
Thanks in advance
Irena
Many thanks for your time. I really appreciate your help.
Although, it seems that I have an earlier version of Grasshopper than you do.
So unfortunatelly I can see only a slider of the entire file.
I assume that you are using a component called subsurface.
The only one relevant that I can find is the subcurve.
Do you have any idea if it is listed under a different name on the earlier GH version?
Thanks in anticipation,
Welcome to
Grasshopper
