problem of paneling the converted tspline surface

hi all,

only want to apply the panelling tool to the cutted surface made by tspline.but gh didn't recognise the whole surface as a single surface. like when using _curveonsrf command, it reads the one surface as pieces of  srf components. but how to set the interval in this case???i am sure someone has met this problem, any suggestion and idea is appreciated. many thanks.

Hi, you can use the tsSetSurfaceLayout command to see how the T-spline surface will be split up into rectangular NURBS surfaces. You can change this layout to better suit what you are trying to do.

Unfortunately, grasshopper and Rhino don't recognize a non-rectangular T-spline surface as a single surface, since many of their tools are only meant to work on rectangular nurbs surfaces.
thanks matthew! i see....sign... i supposed that when ts srf converts into nurbs, the ts srf turns normal ... since i have lost the model with tsplines srf,so i set the U,V interval with the same parametric, and the panels are joined completely on the boders of 2 surfs, but problem is the panel couldn't cover the margin of the surface where it was cut, could you help me to check a moment? is there any solution?

even the violet surf couldnt be loaded in Gh, But why? it's been explored!! i upload also the definition of panel tool from the manual of gh primer here.

Yewei,

As far as I know, paneling tools only work on topologically rectangular areas. Since this t-spline does not have a rectangular topology (you had some star points in it), that is why the entire surface can't be paneled at once.
