probably a very simple solution.. how to use the path mapper

Hi, I'm trying to make interpolated curves on an upright standing surface that reacts to one or many points, in order to create waves on the surface. 

I have managed to create the curves using a horizontal grid, and then I didn't get this problem.

The problem is that I really don't get the path mapper and how it works, what should I write in it to get what I need, and why should I write that??

I read the path mapper help box but it didn't explain it to me.

 

Part 2: as you can see in my rhinofile, I have a set of facades/surfaces. Is it possible to make the command work on all surfaces simultaneously? So that it becomes a unit, instead of applying the transform to each surface individually (but then they wont blen in to each other..) 

 

Please help and enlighten me, I have to learn this sooner or later..

A quick answer for now is to have a read of this: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/path-mapper-help-1 Its over a year old now but there should be some fundamentals to help you along.

After you've had a chance to read and digest that thread I should be free to answer further questions later.

yes a common way, I am more interested in doing it without having to do each attractor separate.

yes tou could reference all the points, and graft the component if you want to do it at once

but the good thing about this other way is that you can manipulte each attractor individually.

but maybe i´m missing something

well by grafting, when point movement is to extreme points overlap.

graft the points_flatten b from vector 2 point

the overlap goes away.

but still i rather that individuall controll, since attraction and detraction can be achieved at the same time

Ill see later mario, I havent looked really at the definition but every "grafted list" of points for grid movement I have encountered always had some overlap. I do the same method by grafting points and flattening the grid lists input but it always had some degree of overlap. and of course individual control is best, but not when you have say 100 attractor points. I would rather try and hook a random function or series list and direct a force to each attractor through grafted lists. Thanks
