Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everybody!

I have a volume in my 3D, and i would like to do something similar as the picture attached. Do you know what is the best way to do this, according to sunlight values? Values should controled the dimensions of the "hats" (Smallest "hats" for lower values for exemple). You can find my complete values in the script, and the same values simplified with the geometry in the script here attached.

Thank you very much if someone can have a look.

Thanks a lot

Sorry, didn't see your reply to the previous post! (are you sure you sent the right GH file originally this looks very different?)

Try the attached gh. It finds a mid point of each square mesh and moves it normal to the surface by the values in the number holders, then rebuilds a mesh by the vertices. However, as there isn't much variation it isn't too dramatic. The last added bit also has a remapping to exagetate the difference, but most of the sunlight values are very similar.

Thanks again for your help, but the problem here is that the script follows a regular mesh and it is not so attractive visually.

What is the way to put it on the first triangular mesh generated by sunlightvalues?

I put a part of the mesh in the script to try, but it doesn't work..
