algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi,
Is it possible to apply the Populate 3D input on multiple surfaces so that each surface contains a random amount of points instead of the same amount.
For example with the image attached, can I apply 3 points on one surface and one on the other instead of generating 4 points on each?
Thanks,
Chris

If you supply two surfaces, you'll have to supply two different counts as well. Or, alternatively, you can convert the surfaces to meshes, join them (separate meshes can be joined into a single one), and then use the PopGeo component. But you won't be able to control exactly how many points each shape gets, but it will be random.
Incidentally the Pop3D component fills a box-shaped volume with points. If you want to populate surfaces, I recommend using PopGeo instead.
PopGeo and what you said works great. Thanks for the help and quick reply!
