algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone,

I have divided a box into a number of smaller boxes and I want to fill each of the boxes with a random number of points. I also want a different number of points to be generated for each box. The same number can appear twice or more, but I don't want every box to have the same number of points as I understand is the case in my uploaded file. Can anyone help?

you have multiple boxes plugged in to Pop3d but only one 'random' value.
you just have to generate the same amount of 'random' values as there are boxes.
You can set the number of random values on the (N) input.
(may need to flatten outputs coming out of ArrLinear though)

Minor mistake you made is that your Division component is taking in 18 values when you only want the one, which is making it generating duplicate boxes further on. Your box doesn't have equal sides so I'm unsure which direction you want to take with this.

Only took a quick look, sorry I can't provide a .gh example at the moment

Hi.

Check attached. Best.

A different subject, but I'd say there is a more appropriate way to subdivide a box:
