Polysurface Gridshell with Lunchbox

I am having difficulty applying a gridshell diagrid pattern to a complex polysurface. Tried exploding the brep which gets close, but breaks the surface into segments and defines the pattern in sections. Looking to create a continuous pattern.

That is because your geometry is polysurfaces not one surface , try to build your geometry using loft , sweep ..etc to get your geometry as one surface

Yes thanks this has been the problem, but I wonder if there is a way to reference the polysurface to create the shell.

It's a little bit hard to tell from the picture, but if possible you can try to create some section curves of the polysurface. Then loft these sections to make a continous surface.

Thank you for the reply. I am fixing this in Rhino. It is interesting how the sweep 2 component in GH defaults to outputting a polysurface though.
