Is there a way to create a point on a custom plane coordinate system. I would like to create a point (0,2,0) but on use a custom plane not the world coordinates.

Establish your local plane then use the 'point orient' component in vectors>points>point oriented.

Yes Point orient does do what I need thanks.  I had assume by the name and inputs (U,V,W) it was to orient a point on a surface.  I guess I didn't look close enough.

I was looking for the exact same thing and discarded that component for the same reason.

Confusing naming at it's finest...

First, create (or locate) a "custom plane" - many ways to create a plane, or get one from a surface:

Then create a plane-relative point using either 'Point Oriented', 'Point Polar' or 'To Polar' (maybe others?)

Yes, keeping track of planes can be crucial - for 'Orient' and other things.

Thanks
