I could be wrong but I don't remember the point list being able to bake before as it's not actually geometry just a clever trick by David.

If you want you can use a 3D text tag which will bake to the supplied plane.

Your solution kind of works, since the 3d text tag component, generates a sequence that loops in every square grid columm

I just had to flatten the length list component and the location of the 3d text tag

So gh reads one single list
