Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys, just started learning grasshopper this week. I'm trying to adjust the scaling of some cubes so that the closer they are to a point attractor, the larger they become.

How might I go about doing this?

My attached files include the current scenario as a screenshot and as a grasshopper file.

Thanks!

Here's a way to scale objects based on distance to attractor:

Thanks guys! I will have a play around and see how I can make it work for my application

The Inverse of the Square Root is always a good start. --> [Square Root] --> [One Over X] -->

Thanks for the response Danny! I have tried this as well, but had concerns about the scale of the boxes relative to each other (the original showed an even increase in scale) and needing to adjust the initial square grid size. Do you think there would be ways to create a more even scale increase? Cheers!

As David shows above you can use a [Graph Mapper] but with a linear graph.

Or Alternatively you can use [Remap Domain].

See Alternative in my post above

Amazing. Thanks so much you guys!
