Point Attractor pattern on a curved surface tower

hi, I want to create attractive and repulsive pattern ovr my tower instead of having fins. Is ther any way to create attractor points over the curved surface of tower.

i subdivided the surface but not able to get the pattern, plz haave a look at my definition
