algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I am having a problem with cutting holes into a surface. I don't understand why, but the circles i generated on my surface seem not to intersect with it, so my solid difference doesn't work. I tried extruding the circles in both ways so that i would be sure that they intersect, but still, the solid difference doesn't work.

This is the definition - the circles i want to cut with are in a group called CIRCLES, and the surface is in a group called TARGET SURFACE . You can see them in the right/down corner. Thank you!

Thank you very much! Great sollution

Hey Alex, nice approach seems to work too but could you please explain whats going on in this part and why this way  ??? If you know what I mean....

Thanx

I mean you got all the required circles populated on the surface so why not just make spheres and do the same trim thing, It would be gr8 if you elaborate, may be there is something I am missing or gonna learn through your explanation.

Hello Aakriti

this is part of the definition that was already done by Lidia. it is a classic point attractor using the curve closest point component to create lists of distances. then remapping these distances more appropriate values for radiuses are created.

the part i suggested is the group, which is exactly like you describe, overriding the circles and creating spheres to trim from the surfaces.

Ok, I will have to check again, but thanks for the explanation.

Cheers
