algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Well,
I confess that I can't get the logic of CPlane orientation along closed and periodic curves (actually the absence of it). See these simple cases.

See this as well, this time with humble 2pt lines
thanks so much for sharing this I was looking to find some help and there you go:).I work for an popup displays company down but just moved from usa
I forgot to attach the "right" one (i.e. with a meaningful Gate per case control).
Here's v2 (lines) with some added stuff in order to visualize the chaos (spot the color of balls controlled by the dot product...meaning...etc etc)
Given the opportunity this chaotic CPlane orientation ... brings me in despair with regard more complex things > for instance this non elastic tensile membrane definition (WIP for some sort of stadium) is impossible (at least to me) to control with regard a myriad of proper mast/cable placement (based on various CPlanes - not shown).
I'll switch to Gen Comp to do that
All you need to do is use the perpindicular frame to a curve component then the local xy axes are always consistent - see attached image.
I also sometimes bulid my plane using vector geometry using vector geometry using GH vector components. I then use the 3 point plane component to build a plane from this vector geometry. Using vector geometry is always more accurate.
