algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello! I'be been experimenting with Kangaroo, and i find that plugin really fascinating, i here i am again because, im having some issues with Planarization and a Voronoi Pattern... its is possible to to that? i've seen tutorials about planarization of surfaces subdivided in hexagnos, but what about patterns composed of polygons with 3 4 5 6 even 7 sides, by converting all to triangles it works (yeah a triangle has to be flat!, theres no other way)but what if i dont want triangles?
thanks in advance...

Hi Esteban,
The planarization force in Kangaroo can work with polygons of any number of sides, so yes it is possible to flatten 7 sided shapes.
However, it is not clear to me what you are trying to do here - what do you mean by a Voronoi pattern in this context? - the 2d Voronoi component already gives flat polygons in a plane, and the 3d Voronoi gives cells with flat faces. I'm guessing you mean something like a projection of a planar Voronoi onto a curved surface?
perhaps some sketches or your attempts so far would help
Hello Daniel,
here a few screen shoots to illustrate what i want... to Inflate a Voronoi pattern with completely flat faces, additionaly every point of the naked edges need to be move to its divide curve point couterpart...
Thanks!

well.. i managed to make the polygons flat, but theres an small problem , if i use "pull pt to curve" to keep the outer points on turtle"s shell, then the polygons will be never flat...
