Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi All,
Have been trying to use the Pie Chart Component to visualize the areas of a number of spaces from a chart. And expected the Pie "Slices" to have a size relative to the areas, however what is happening is that the slices are getting bigger according to the frequency of the areas...

check out the attached image.

Does any one know how to make it work properly?

Thanks
Omar

The Pie chart lists how often a certain value occurs in a list. That's why 707 is bigger, because it's in there twice.

The pie chart is operating with strings so he doesn’t understand area size in your case.

You can work around but this is not the solution, for example - when you have two area with the same size.

Yep, that's the man.
Thanks.

argh... it hurts.

This is generating 32MB of data to draw a pie chart with 6 segments.

...nice solution though :D

Dandys don't care what it costs !

Nice thread about the pie chart component thanks for sharing this thread.

Hello, how can we change the color palette of the Grasshopper pie chart component?

No you can't do that with default grasshopper one.
