perpendicular line

I have one point and a rotated line.I want to add a line from this point(first point) to the rotated line (second point) but this line should be perpendicular.As far i don't know the second point is there any way to do this??

Hi blueyes,

here a way you could go about this.
It also works if the point is relatively "outside" the portion of space defined by the line.

it didn't help me because i can't open the file this time/pc.I found the solution in my problem but how can i trim or find the intersection point between 2 lines??

The definition above does that...
Are you using version 0.6? If no, can you upgrade to 0.8?
