Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey Guys

I have obtained a surface from Geomagic Design X in .IGS format and was thinking of applying a pattern on its surface, any ideas? I have tried a few things but just dont seem to work. Please get back to me.

Thank You

Hi.

It seems there is a suitable method for this sort of case I've given you before, but you seem to have nothing to learn from it.

Hey, I am gonna look at it and I am learning but the trimmed and the untrimmed is new to me so thank you so much.

I've already mentioned about that in your "Previous Post".

no I meant when you create The UV curves, this I understand

Hey,

I have had time and I see what you meant. The surface that I used earlier to ask all those questions was an 'untrimmed' one and now this surface is 'trimmed'. I have had a look at a few things online and several forum posts but not really there. So here goes my question.

1. Just looking at the image can I get whatever lies on the inside of the highlighted green surface? I did try a few things but didn't seem to work maybe I was not using it right. I also saw your work and its great but just for me when I increase the size of the hexagons the number on the surface goes down, I wanted to keep them uniform.

2. While looking online I did find a few solutions referring to C# and it being used in code but didn't really understand most of it. So to get the uniformity in the UV is there an alternative?

Thank You

This is probably the last answer on this kind of questions for you.

It would be better for you to do more of your own study than to continue to ask similar questions about the problem you have already received a solution.

And think about whether your task is worth enough to create and execute an algorithm using GH. This kind of simple task is much better done by hand in Rhino.

Hello everone :)

Hyungsoo Kim, thanks for your script :) It helped me too :)

I tried to use it for my surface, but somehow there is a problem with the surface, isnt it ?

Do I need to take care of something to create the surface ?

Greets,

Gitti
