Part optimization

Looking for help setting up a test.  I am looking to compare Kangaroo and Grasshopper with Altair, Dassault and Autodesk at part optimization.  Which means given a part and the loads it is subjected to, what is the optimal shape, given the material.  Is it even possible with Grasshopper and Kangaroo?
