Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi All,

I am presently working on a project - "parametric urbanism"
My idea is to set an optimal massing on the site and when one of the massing goes higher, then the others should go lower....

Does anyone have an idea of how to go about these???

thanks a lot

Hey,

You may take a look at this (only Sketchup, not Rhino) .. - http://www.modelur.com/home

In addition, if you were more specific with the issue we could help you to "grasshopperize" it.

Cheers!
Hey Pablo, thanks for your help... i have attached an image of my intension.
I want a situation that if i increase some floors, then the other will reduce.... tanx

here's a simple definition based on the total required volume, and assuming that each tower/block has the same footprint area.

thanks Evan... :)
I have seen some cool ideas and formulation created with grashopper. I would like to create a study of constraints based on the addition of paths along with subtracting paths from an urban design perspective. I noticed Zaha Hadid's Thames Gateway.

Attached is the current layout of my urban canvas. I would like the gray shapes to be driven by parameters.

The initial goal of my study is to create a series of densities based on the current connection points and paths.

Any help or studies would be greatly appreciated...
