Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I have seen some cool ideas and formulation created with grashopper. I would like to create a study of constraints based on the addition of paths along with subtracting paths from an urban design perspective. I noticed Zaha Hadid's Thames Gateway.

Attached is the current layout of my urban canvas. I would like the gray shapes to be driven by parameters.

The initial goal of my study is to create a series of densities based on the current connection points and paths.

Any help or studies would be greatly appreciated...

Hi!!!...

My name is Danny, I’m a young Colombian architect.

I’m currently developing a research project about parametric urbanism.

In Latin America, especially in Colombia, there aren’t any architect or architecture studios that develop parametric architecture or urbanism, so I'm researching this topic to incorporate parametricism into the city development areas and the urbanism in Colombian and Latin American cities.

As a new topic developed in European schools of architecture, although there is no physical literature about the parametric urbanism, their processes, their origin, their methodology, and the software. So my objective is write you for help on these topic, if you know books, literature, ebooks, papers, websites, tutorials, library resources, web resources, someone expert or anything else that might help me in my research project, that would be very helpful in with my research project and I will be very grateful.

I apologize for take a few minutes of your time, but I hope you can give me a hand!!!... Thank you so much in advance for your help.

Everything is parametric / associative.  To qualify something such as urbanism as 'parametric' is an oxymoron.  The key is to understand  and design through associations.  Can we detect how economic / political / cultural / environmental / social associations give way to urban topologies?  Can we instigate these associations to form such that they form catalysts for urban growth or entropy?
Luis, I have found some works about demographic parameters in associtation for find a urban form... but in this moment I need some technical references about grasshopper in urban forms for express this kind of things... do you know something about it????... :)

This should keep you busy for a while!
