algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Am trying to set up a simple parametric truss with 2 main horizontal bar and many diagonals.
I managed to solve it by subbdivind lines and adding shift list and cull to obtain the diagonals.
For some reason I need to gather the points in a different way than by subdiving lines,
and I am trying by intersecting planes and lines but this second set of points does not work once put on the rest of the algorithm. Any suggestion?
I attach both rhino and ghx files.

Thanks

If you want to save yourself some grief and are happy to install a plug-in, I've covered this in my Geometry Gym plug-ins. Here's an example of Marks Flower Canopy. http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/truss-from-a-surface-and-a

Note that particular model is computationally heavy (Sweeping and curve projecting take some computing power).

I'd take a look at your definition and how to apply my plug-in, but I can't download your attached rar file, I get an error about permission.

Jon
now it works, don't know what was the problem. Thanks

Try not to let David see my icons, as I haven't had a minute to start improving the worst of them yet, but I've attached my definition. You need to download StructDrawRhino from http://www.geometrygym.com/downloads and request a license using the command sdrZZLicenseRequest to get it to work. You can add point inputs to force division at particular points, and use the skip input to add control to the appearance of the diagonals.

If you've other ideas/suggestions, don't hesitate to let me know and I'll try to incorporate them as quickly as possible.

Cheers,

Jon

Jon,

Don't take it too personally... Obviously David has never seen the GSA interface. He would probably have a stroke if he did.

If one were to evaluate the quality of your icons based on GSA as a standard, I'd give you an A+.
