Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hello every one

I'm very begginer in parametric architecture.

Actually i dont know how to desgin with parametric strategies.

could any one help me how to start??

Because i think Rhino+grasshopper are only tools.

thank you alot...:)

In addition ... and since GH works with "structured" data by means of DataTrees (custom stuff masterminded by a certain David R) I would strongly suggest to fully master what these mysterious things are ... BEFORE attempting to do anything.

Otherwise I guarantee tears, pain and frustration.

In plain English: first learn to walk then run.

I think if you have a look here http://www.grasshopper3d.com/page/library-algorithms-and , you will find a lot of articles on parametric design, what it is, etc. You are right, Rhino+Grasshopper is a tool, which enables you to design parametrically. Why and what you are wanting to do with it, is what you need to find out first.

You can also look on youtube and look for some videos of stuff people have done with Grasshopper. I think right in the beginning its nice to see what a tool is capable of, to get some inspiration of what you can achieve. THEN you start to learn the tools and pretty soon, you will find your own direction.
