Do you want to create a truss with an actual width or just connect both lines in a truss like way?

btw.: I can see no specific reason for using PT for the task at hand...

with width, this is just one circumstance of what I need to accomplish, the others are a bit more difficult but if it works for this definition it should work for my other curves.
