PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation) or DLI (Daily Light Integral) studies

Hello everyone,

I am trying to do a grass growth study for a stadium and see how the building shape affects solar availability.

I would like to use PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation) or DLI (Daily Light Integral) as metrics, since those seem to be mostly used for grass growth evaluation in relation to solar availability. The only program that provides it is Ecotect, but having more flexible environments like Honeybee would be a huge help in order to break down daily values without having to run multiple time consuming simulations. If anyone has experience with such metric/calculations software or methodologies, I would appreciate some input.

Thanks

Hi Mili, Sorry for the late reply. My understanding is if you get the hourly radiation values you can calculate PAR with some post processing. If that's the case this will be doable soon using Honeybee[+].
