algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello guys, I am searching a solution to panel a curved surface with pre defined size of a panel. I am working a surface for wooden cladding which have pre defined shingle size...initially I used lunchbox to divide this surface but I cannot accurately divide this surface according to panel size.

Hi.

You can divide a surface using custom domain.

This def is a case using edge length by "Divide Distance".

hello thank you for this script...can I ask you little about the logic you have followed, actually I got the script till when you have extracted parameters of u and V curve divisions.

After that you have merged that list of parameters with 1 No. then created a set and then consecutive domains....can you explain logic behind this. please explain, I am not very good with programming and sets and data trees are not my expertise..

regards

Not like "Divide Curve", the last point of "Divide Distance" does not always coincide with the curve's end point.

So, by inserting number 1.0, you can preserve the remainder of your surface.

and "Create Set" is for the case when the last point parameter of"Divide Distance" is overlapped with inserting number 1.0.

It can remove duplicated value.
