Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey guys I'm new to the grasshopper family, and I've been trying to create a definition panelizing surfaces along a curve and I can't get my definition to work. I'm seeking some guidance or a tutorial if you know of any. I've attached the files I'm working with if that helps. Thanks!

Hello

please internalize the surface and the curves or upload rhino file too.

Internalize is available through right click.

cheers

Here's the Rhino File it didn't link earilier. sorry about that

thanks

Don't worry happens all the time.

I am trying to understand what you are after. You want to have panels distributed along this spiral curve and then to all these create small panels like subdividing them?

What is the role of the circle? Is it the point where each surface is going to tangent touch the curve?

So my intentions are to create panelized surfaces with circles being the shape and look for each panel. (for example I want to the look of each panel to look like perforated metal) and the curve is there to serve as an attractor. Ideally the circles would get more dense the closer they are to the curve.

I hope that makes sense

thank you

Great! Then the following link is great for your study.

the logic is the same when dealing with many panels. for the size part. for the dense part let me look a little further and get back to you.

Perfect thank you so much!

Here is a good one.

it deals with point attractor, it is the same as with curve. it also uses nudibranch, a great plugin when working with attractors.
