algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I am trying to get a certain pattern morphed to a surface using Paneling Tools.
The six leaf shape is the base for the design. The overlapping pattern on the bottom left is the look I am after. I want to morph the base shape over a surface and create this overlapping look throughout.
Can I overlay a grid in Paneling Tools? What is the best approach to get this accomplished.
The grasshopper file for the result shown below is attached.
Thank you,
Oliver

Sorry for a late reply. You will probably get a faster respond if the question is posted to the PanelingTools group.
The hardest part is to try to isolate the smallest repeated pattern within a rectangular grid. This can be tricky.
In you case, it looks like this:
The next step is to create a suitable grid that minimize distortion, and populate the patter on top:
Hi Rajaa,
I appreciate your help... no need to apologize for a late reply - I just joined the Paneling Tools Group and will post related question there in the future.
Your answer is just what I was looking for. It makes sense once you see how it is done - Egg of Columbus Style.
Thank you,
Oliver
