algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I want to make a simulation to see how the folding surface behave when it is a cylinder shape .Now I have a simply gh file which could simulate how to fold a flat surface when we input the line pattern. It could fold but cannot control the shape it generating.

So i try to give it a string force to make it become a cylinder shape, but it doesnt work so well. It work much better if i just want a half of the cylinder. At the beginning i think maybe i just need to show half of a cylinder is still fine, because time pressure, i don't want to spend too much time on this simulation, half of the cylinder still could show how the folding behave. And i could also mirror half of the  cylinder folding surface and try to fix the connection area in Rhino.

When the folding pattern is simple is fine, but when it is making a curved folding it behave very strange in some area. So i try to use curve pull from Kangaroo to pull some points of the folding edges on a curve to make it look more normal. At the beginning, i make a text to pull 2 points to a curve. But it doesn't work at all. Hope somebody could give me some help for that.

Maybe if you have another good idea to make the simulate it would be great.
