algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Dear Grasshopper community,
I get to you since I am involved in a student engineering project, in which I have to define an origami-based structure using Grasshopper. At a first glance, Grasshopper seems to be appropriate to logically model such folding structure and many tutorials propose helpful guidelines. However, by assuming that I am beginner with Rhino and Grasshopper, I am a bit confused about the next step to be followed (please refer to the attached Grasshopper file and related video). We would like to have your feedback on the work done so far in order to know if we are in the right way.
Thanks a lot in advance!!

I know that the question isn't what we can call a precise one, so if it isn't precise enough, don't hesitate to ask me.
Thanks.
Thanks! That helped us a lot!
We will try to inspire us from your work to create our origami structure!
It seems that there is a more specialized site on Origami
I've studied your answers and it's been really usefull !!
I have an other question :
Is it possible to create a mesh from several lines that i've created?
I'd like to create a mesh which recpect the lines in the attached image.
Thanks a lot.
weaverbird reconstruct mesh from curves .... a component look like a face
Hi,
Thanks for the reply but I've already tried this but it didn't seem to work. We've done our mesh manually, and now, we're trying to animate the structure like in the video.
shatter curves .... it will work
Thanks a lot for your help !!
Do you know if it is possible to deal with the interferences through the mesh when it's folded?
Thanks again !!
Welcome to
