Orienting and Populating according to Colour from mesh

hey there,

i was wondering how to orient a module of components so that it faces the normal of a mesh.

I am also wanting to populate this mesh with this component; with the density of the population in relation to the colour taken from the solar diagram.

I am stuck at the orienting part.  As I am able to dispatch and place the components but not orient them correctly.  as shown in image.  I would have preferred to do a more gradual population rather than a dispatch.  Like a gradient of population of points?

Unsure why the orient component is not working?

Any help would be much appreciated.

The result i want to achieve is that where its red, is I want lots of the components facing the normal of the surface.  And gradually gets less densely populated as the colour changes.

You were not giving any reference point (pA) to the Orient component.

More incoming about a gradient if i feel inspired.

I have figured out how to orient it.  Before when i gave it a ref pt, it came up with funny results.  or was not working.

I used the same geometry from the previous orient and Re-Oriented it.

Now its working.  Now to do the gradient part.

Hopefully Systemik will feel inspired :P

Not very inspired, but the attachment could give you some ideas though.

a shame that your not very inspired :(

But the attachment really helped; just need to tweak a few things to get what i need.

Thanks a lot
