algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys,

So, I'm trying to give a thickness to curves to generate beams with a rectangular cross section. And so basically I'm just making a rectangle, Orienting it at the end point of each element (line) with a frame that's perpendicular to the curve, and then extruding it along the vector of the curve as per the image.

BUT, I can't get all the cross sections to line up. For some reason, even though they are oriented on to a plane that is perpendicular to the curve, the rectangles are being rotated around their centers so to produce the undesired effect seen on the image. (the extrusions aren't flush with eachother)

Help anyone?

Thanks,

Try Align Plane command.

Or, if you want a visual continuity in your sweep, instead of a PFrame you can orient your cross section to a vertical plane, for example and do the sweep with that new section.

Hope this comment is usefull to you

Thanks!

Had to do add a few more steps, but Align Plane worked out, thanks

hi can you  please send me the image of command , I am getting the same issue

I would also check to make sure that your "curve" isn't a series of segments.
