algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello all,
I would like to know how I can modify this definition (sinewavescurves) so that the waves go in the z direction and not on the xy plane.
so that my original curve doesn't change in the top view but changes in the front view, for example.
Thank you very much for your help and time,
Anni

hi,
What you have to do is change the rotation axis to Y in stead of Z, other wise you rotate around the Z axis causing it to stay within the xy plane (check attachment)
have fun,
domi
Edit: this does still cause the curve to change in the top view as well. I'm checking how to make sure it doesn't
Hi Anna,
I wasn't sure why you were using the tangent vectors, so I just used the points and moveed every other point up or down. I'm not sure if this is where you were tryingto go with the definition, but it accomplishes what you said (making the curves go up and down instead of in and out).
Very nice. It's good to see the sign function in the def.
