Orient planes to sun?

I have a series of curves that have been subdivided, and at each point there is a plane. I want to create an attractor so that the face of the planes rotate on the y axis according to the point's position - I've been looking at definitions for "orienting to sun" from the forum but they don't seem to work for me.. Could anyone help??
