organise a bunch of lines by lenght

Hello,

I have a projection of points on a curved surface in order to create a "surface" made of vertical rods (see picture)

I need to sort the lines by lenght with a step. I built a definition with a serie of boxes by size but it's silly.

Is some one could help me to find a clever solution ?

If you only need to color code, try the Gradient component.

Sorting a list is really simple with the Sort component. I attached my approach to sorting the rods into bins of equal size. There may be other/better ways to do this.

Thanks a lot Hannes,

I'd like define a new lenght for each line corresponding to the "lenhgt group"
exemple : all lines with a lenght between 30 and 50mm will be now be 40mm

I'm still poor in tree management, and I'd like to avoid explode the tree.

PS : the color was to read the different lenghts.

This solution is pretty ugly and works with the current way, GH matches list inputs. This behaviour may change in future releases. There are probaly cleaner ways to math the quanzized lengths with the bins...
