Opening specific project hangs grasshopper (and rhino)

Switch off the Solver before you open the file. Then disable all components, re-enable the solver and slowly switch stuff back on until you found the culprit. If it's a regular component that's taking a long time then it's probably just calculating a lot of data. This may or may not be a mistake. If it's a Script component then you can fix the code while the component is disabled.
