algorithmic modeling for Rhino
i'm setting up a website that could display rhino models in browser without plugin (based on webgl).
i'm wondering if someone could try rhino models generated by grasshopper and see if it works for typical grasshopper models (it seems those models are usually big than regular rhino models).
testing site: www.publishyourdesign.com
help: http://www.publishyourdesign.com/help
please note that it is still in testing phase, so it may not work sometimes :-(.

I uploaded a converted file with a single mesh and mesh-vertex colours, but the viewer I got remained blank. The pyd file is 38 bytes, so clearly it failed to convert my 3dm file (attached).

Grasshopper typically doesn't generate anything specific. I suppose meshes are a popular way to display 3D data-sets as colours can be assigned locally.

Hi David, again, thanks for trying and letting me know the result. I have added the limitation to about page. Attach a model that should work :-).
In testing phase, each user only has 20M free space (bad!). Let me know if you need more. I could increase it for you.
David, now meshes can be supported. See your model at http://www.publishyourdesign.com/models/189
David, I did notice the difference. But I didn't find a way to get that color data. I also noticed that Rhino Render will give the same result as the web page displays.
How the color is assigned? How could i get that information?
Hi Andrew,
Rhino5 will render it correctly. These colours are stored on the mesh itself as the m_C array. Each vertex is associated with a colour, and so each triangle has different colours on each corner, which are blended in a linear fashion.

David, thanks for the information. Should be able to support vertex colors. Working on it now.
Hi David,
Colors on node can be supported now.
Link for updated model : http://www.publishyourdesign.com/models/223
Cool project, checked out the lego real quick, works awesomely. It seems your website have some issues though. Im here http://www.publishyourdesign.com/profiles/16248/models and I click the link "Upload ur model". Well that leads me nowhere. Cant find anywhere else to upload a anything. I am sure there is a link somewhere but cant find it.
Welcome to
