algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello,
I have a referenced box with 6 surfaces. I want to offset 4 surfaces with the same fixed distance and offset the other 2 with varying distances.
Once I have the offset surfaces, I want their bounds to define a new (larger) box.
In the files attached, I show the work I've done so far. I have offset the surfaces, scaled them up and am now trying to trim them to define the bounds of the new box.
Is the logic here sound? I think there is likely a smoother way to do this, I'd appreciate some help!
Thanks,
Daniel

Tom,
Thanks for the reply. Indeed ScaleNU was essentially what I was looking for. I wanted to set the z axis to scale a bit differently, so needed to Deconstruct BREP, then EvalSurf to make that happen. See attached. I think this is as clean as it can get...
I will download and try out your plugin, for when I run into similar problems with non planar surfaces.
Thanks so much for your help!
Dan
