Offset pt grid

I set this up so I could offset a grid to avoid using two surfaces to generate two identical grids. I just can't figure out how to control the move distance of the moved points. I assume I need to set an expression for this but I'm not sure how to set it up. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and reading material about expressions in relation to grasshopper. Thanks

Z is a vector and probably of length 1. Scale this vector or explicitly set its amplitude to change the translation distance.
