'OffSet on Srf' usage raises message in Command prompt?

Have just taken a look at the "Offset on Surface" component, and noticed that whenever it is been executed, a certain message appears in the Command prompt:

"Offset curve on surface... Press Esc to cancel".

Tried the same thing in Python (using this RhinoCommon method), and again  - got the same message.

Why does this message appear?

The SDK method just does that for some reason. It's a bug but not a very high priority one.
