algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hej there.
I just tried to offset a curve with Grasshopper.
But some of the Triangles have problems to do - I guess it's due to acute angles.
The lines are extended at the "new" triangles tip.
Is this a common problem in GH?
Or is there any way to elude that?
Thanks a lot.

To recieve advise, you´d probably need to be a little more specific.
Best,

Are your triangles closed?
OK. Some of this is related to the RhinoCommon offset routine using user supplied inputs at the time of running eg direction. There have been several work arounds to over come this problem such as Offsetting both sides and calculating the new curve lengths and culling the smaller/bigger etc.
I know David tried writing his own offset routine for GH but it would seem that there are too many hurdles as it is still not happening 100% of the time as desired.
If you search the Forum for Offset Bug you might find other's solutions to this.
There is an offset on Surface component which is more reliable but uses more processing time.
One thing that has always puzzled me about Offsets in Rhino, why it can't offset a curve like this and give you both internals in one pick?
is it possible in Grasshopper?
