algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I have a broblem offseting my curves in the same direction. Given they have different vector in rhino, how can i make all my closed curves offsets inwards instead of some offseting from inside and some from outside. I want to solve it in GH.

Hi Danny, Just wanted to let you know that this plugin was a great suggestion - works like a charm. thanx
if these curves are planar you can use planar component and provide the planes output to the offset component.
and like Danny said can use bowerbird plugin or clipper, they both make things simpler.

In case i have a polyline that is not closed, how is it possible to offset all curves from same side?(in this case i exclude the bottom line from extrusion). BB Offset does not seem to work here.(Dont bother about the gap between the offseted line and the bottom line)
(script included)
I just want to change the vector of the curve so that every curve is getting offseted from same side.
In this case I would offset both sides and then keep the Shorter of the two
that is the safest way to ensure you have the inner.!
is that a statement of shock or awe?
excitement. and awe of course. :-)
i am having offset issues too, you know.hehe
Alex i think planar command helps my cause. I am trying to do it now and i will post it.
The offset dilemma has been pondered on here since I can remember.
Just putting Offset into the search field will pull up mostly inward offset bugs/errors/problems
The work arounds have been to usually take the form of doing lots more than necessary and then cherry picking the results.
The latest break throughs have come with the aid of the clipper libraries see this thread: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/we-need-to-talk-about-off...
