You need to use more components in the creation of your plane to confirm that all are correctly oriented. Try using 3point plane for instance. Create 3 points from the start point of your line.
Hey Ron,
Your suggestion worked for me, but the issue in constructing a 3 point plane in this context is that I still don't have the X direction which I think is the same reason I can't offset in the right direction in the first place. My solution below seems messy but I think it should work in almost all variations. Thanks.
