Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone! i've got a problem with dividing an offseted autocad build curve. The original one devides good but the problem is with offseted copy which is divided shifted relatively to the original one. Can anyone help with solving this quite a simple problem.

Tnx!

The problem is definitely with that imported Autocad curve.
I drew a new one, with exact dimensions like the previous one, and on the exact place.
And this is the result I got with your grasshopper definition:

So just draw the same ellipse in Rhino.

Probably a more experienced users here may explain you why is the Autocad and Rhino curve geometry different.

i've used an external drawing program to build eliptical curve from 3 correect circle parts, and it's the key point of my design, so i can't just use native ellipse component of gh. Maby you can prompt me how to do that in gh....and this can be the solution...

It may be I am missing something.

But why are you drawing an ellipse by hand methods using Archicad?

If you know the radii in x and y direction, you can easily draw the curve using "Arc/Circle" tool in Archicad, without above steps you posted.

cause finally i need an ellipse built with 3 correect circle parts

Have you already tried with rebuild component, maybe can help.

no, unfortunately rebuild didn't help me.....

Are you drawing that curve in Archicad with "Splines" tool?
Maybe that is why Rebuild won't work.

no, just a "circle" tool

The problem in the starting point position...
