Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi fellows

I am doing a research project that needs to cluster point clouds. I want to implement DBSCAN but I am struggling with SciPy in GHpython. Have been all over the internets, been able to make it work easily in Python and IronPython but I can not find the way to import NumPy in RhinoScript as it retrieves that message:

Error importing numpy: you should not try to import numpy from
its source directory; please exit the numpy source tree, and relaunch
your python interpreter from there

Does someone have a lead on that issue please?

Thank you for your help

PS: I have tried putting numpy in site-packages and not calling this folder directly.

Hi Tom,

Thank you for your answer.

Math.net was my backup plan until now.

I would like to use DeBaCl in GH actually, which uses thoses libraries. Also found out Ant and wanted to give it a try. Seeing that Ant is working with those libraries in GH gave me hope that SciPy could be working in this environment.

You are right, I will try to get over SciPy and do it manually, but the solution might be at reach. If someone has a clue.. thanks!

Have a nice day

Sorry, I cannot help with SciPy for .Net, I've spent quite a bit of time in the past, also contacting Enthought, but they are not moving forward with this project.

Maybe they'll change their mind one day.
